IrmaWP started as an internal tool inside a small agency. After three years of stitching together panels, plugins, spreadsheets, and a separate AI tab — we just wanted one place. So we built it.
From an agency tool, to a platform.
The first version of Irma was a private dashboard. It was meant to last six months. It's now five years old.
2020 — One agency. Forty-three sites.
The internal version of Irma was a Trello board, three Slack channels, and a Sunday-night spreadsheet of what to update next. It worked, barely.
2022 — The dashboard era.
We replaced the spreadsheet with a private app. Bulk updates, scheduled backups, uptime checks — all in one place. The team's Sunday night came back.
2024 — AI moves in next door.
The team kept tabbing into a separate AI assistant for content drafts and code help — but it never knew anything about the sites. So we put it in the same room.
2026 — Open to the public.
Other teams started asking if they could use it. After enough asks, we made the workspace generally available. That's where you came in.
The team
Eighteen people, six countries, one Slack. A small team that's been doing this work for a while. Most of us came from agencies, publishers, and WooCommerce stores — so we're building a tool for the version of ourselves that needed it five years ago.
Three rules we don't break.
The product gets new features every quarter. These don't change.
Operational software should reduce work, not relocate it.
If a feature moves the same effort from one tab to another, it doesn't ship. We measure by hours saved per week, not surface area.
AI is a tool, not a personality.
Irma is helpful, fast, and stays in its lane. No theatrical preamble. No invented facts. When it doesn't know, it says so.
Pricing is a contract, not a maze.
Plans, credits, and overages are listed. Nothing changes mid-month. No volume tiers triggered by accident. No 'contact us' for the actual price.
